Featured Fencing Idea

Inexpensive lightweight fencing idea

An Inexpensive Lightweight Fence

It is 800mm high and has two feet 500mm long. The L shape of the feet allows easier storage and transport.

It is made from a 2400mm long piece of non structural pine stud from Bunnings. Carefully cutting ensures each length makes one post. It is secured together by 50 - 60mm long self drilling screws. Three pieces of rubber 25 x 25mm from an old mud flap are nailed or screwed to the underneath of the feet. This gives three point contact.

Some posts such as corner posts can benefit from extra weight, here a men’s long sock filled with course sand works rather well, tied around the base. Total cost per post approx $3.00.
